A final gift – preplanning with a custom memorial urn

Most people shudder at the thought of their own demise or making decisions about their own end-of-life details. However, some people are planners and know exactly what they want. After experiencing the loss of their mother, Leonard did not want his children to have to do all of the planning for his death. Here is Leonard’s story:

“After my wife of 55 years passed away in 2020, I decided I didn’t want my children to have to go through the whole funeral process again so I arranged for my own funeral at the same time as I set up my wife’s. We found a nice urn for her cremains (stock item at the funeral home) but I wanted something different. I had in mind what I wanted and spent the next few months (off and on) looking for a company that could design and paint the urn I was looking for. Now Leonard is content knowing exactly what will happen at the end of his life, and that his children will not have to shoulder the burden of planning his memorial.
