Care and Use
Your custom memorial is a unique, work of art.
Please note the following:
- DUST LIGHTLY WITH A FEATHER DUSTER OR SOFT BRUSH
- DO NOT PLACE WATER IN OR ON ITS SURFACE
- RAKU IS LIGHT SENSITIVE AND SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM DIRECT LIGHT SUCH AS THE SUN
- MESQUITE AROMA IS FROM THE REDUCTION USING WOOD SHAVINGS AND FADES WITH TIME
- ASH IS NORMAL AND IS PART OF THE FIRING PROCESS
- CRACKING OF THE GLAZES AND MINOR FISSURES ON PLATES AND VASES IS NORMAL AND DUE TO THE RAPID CHANGE IN ENVIRONMENT FROM A 2000 DEGREE KILN TO A 70 DEGREE ATMOSPHERE
Cremains can be placed directly into the vessel; however, we recommend inserting a plastic bag into the vessel and then inserting the cremains.
If you wish to permanently seal the vessel, you may use an adhesive suitable for ceramic material (which can be found at most hardware/hobby stores), following the manufacturer's instructions.
