Le Chat Chic Cremation Urn

Chic and debonair, this red and black ceramic cat is a striking tribute to your feline friend. A variety of engobes, colored slips and glazes are applied and undergo multiple firings to achieve these rich colors. Bright green birds and long, white whiskers finish this delightful cat. While the clay is still wet and prior to firing, high temperature wire is inserted into each bird. After the cat and birds are fired, the birds are inserted, via the wire, into small holes in the cat, making the birds independent so they can be moved and removed at will. Detachable, the tail is constructed with a flange that “sets” the tail when inserted. Small mementos and remains are inserted through the tail opening. The birds and tail can be permanently affixed if desired.
