The base has a bottom panel that unscrews to allow for placement of the cremains.

Care and Cleaning
Your custom memorial is a unique, work of art. As such, please do not place in direct sunlight or expose it to sudden/extreme changes in temperature. Clean/dust with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Please note the following:
Your memorial is packed in 2 boxes: One contains the wooden base and the second contains the vintage sewing machine. As each piece is heavy, please unwrap each piece slowly and carefully.
We recommend that you fill the base prior to attaching the plane. To do so, simply unscrew the bottom panel, insert the bag of cremains and then reattach the panel.
To attach the vintage sewing machine to the base, lay the base on a sturdy, flat surface and simply place the sewing machine into the cut out opening on top of the base. The machine’s weight will keep it in place.
